it happened.

i moved to hong kong, and i fell in love.

w. hong kong.

this city is fantastic. i haven't seen a whole lot of it, since i've been super duper busy, but this place is really wonderful. i almost wish it were possible to transfer to sales and work here and marry one of the girls in the hong kong office (there are so many!)

not only is the city great, but the work situation here is quite lovely. though stressful at times, this week has shown me a bit of what it's like to work in a smaller office type setting. no longer do i feel tasks are performed only to continuously work; rather, each task is for something. each task is to help the group move toward a goal. if someone asks me to do something, it's rewarding as hell when i can return to them and say "okay, it's done. now you can do what you need to do" or something like that. it feels good.

and the company here is only 5 people, which makes it much more like a family. we went out tonight because i forced them to because they're great and love one of them (we'll probably get married in august, so as to not coincide with jeremy's wedding. assuming she's not already married) and we spoke chinese the whole time. chinese!! it was so much fun. i want to be part of an office family like that. i like the department i work for back home, but there's too much of a political side (as i've mentioned before) to things. sadly, the hangzhou company is even bigger than the houston one, but i'm still excited as hell. they sure know how to treat traveling business men well. i haven't paid a cent since i was in the san francisco airport! a cent!

anyway, as usual, i hope all is well back home. you guys are all the tops.

yay for hong kong! come visit me and we'll come here!
