a night on the town

so this year for christmas i took my folks out for dinner at pete miller's steakhouse in good ol' evanston. we got all dressed up and set out around 7. we were all a bit tired (or at least i certainly was), but it didn't take long for the conversation to start rolling. we had a great time. had some great wine (oregon pinot noir) and some incredible food. not quite penrose room, but close!

after dinner, we strolled into another room where we watched a jazz quintet rock out and had a couple of drinks. i introduced the 'rents to B-52s, that dangerously delicious shot i grew to know so well in kunming.

thanks, mom and dad, for a great evening!

Benji! | December 31 @ 12:30am

yup! i thought about you when i got it! i was deciding between a northern californian or an oregonian, and i thought to myself: california makes great wine, but oregon makes great benjis!
