sundays
i remember back in the day, sunday meant waking making pancakes and listening to breakfast with the beatles (with kittie lowie), with my dad and anyone else who was able to wake up early enough to do it.
since i've been in china, my free time has been exceptionally short. i work all day, and, because i often take daisy home, usually don't get home til around 8 or so. which gives me just enough time to run, make some dinner, have a glass of wine, watch house, and go to sleep.
on the weekend, saturday is usually busier than a work day. we try to pack as much into a day as possible. and sometimes i go out and, well, celebrate the week by drinking too much belgian beer. like last night. got home around 3.
but still, i wake up on sunday mornings like a little boy on christmas day. i'm tired as hell, hungover, and know i should rest. but there's so much to do! i could program, i could play my wii (finally), i could go for a walk on the river and enjoy the glorious weather, i could study and improve my horrible chinese, i could watch a movie, i could make some delicious food, i could go downtown and wander, i could clean up my apartment, i could go for a run (well, maybe last night limits that option a bit).
so, what to do? i feel like sundays should be days for bettering yourself in a relaxing way. whatever that means.
anyway, as you can see, i'm not really doing much. i'm blogging on peterdot in my typical ranting fashion so you can understand my conundrum!
