james bond marathon
a few weeks ago, i went with my buddy to the computer market, aka "computer street", in hangzhou. there are tons of bootleg DVD shops, each selling DVDs for roughly $.60. they also had the entirety of the sopranos for about $4, and a collection of every single bond movie for about the same.
naturally, i don't want to support the black market, so i... uh... well...
because i got so many DVDs, i kinda forgot about most of them until recently, when i finished house AND buffy. and then i remembered that i had every bond movie!
so, as any sane man would do, i decided to start from the beginning, with good ol' sean connery, and continue until the new totally un-bond bond approaches jack connor type god status.
what other choice do i have?!
so far i've watched two, each which i've seen in the past: you only live twice and from russia with love.
it wasn't until i thought sean connery looked a little bit sexier in the later film that i realized i watched them out of order. i guess that's what you get for buying boot-- um... i mean... uh... oops. anyway, i guess i need to figure out the correct order before i continue. 2+ hours movies are a lot to commit to if you need to watch it again to correct your previous mistakes...
did you know that roald dahl, the greatest author in the world, wrote the screenplay for you only live twice? astonishing.
