lost data makes me very sad
so, as most of you know, i've recently (several months ago) started using last.fm, a neato database/site to track what music you listen to. i have several opinions on this site, both good and bad. but i won't mention most of those now.
in order for this database to track your music, you need an application that "scrobbles" it to the website. this means that when you listen to an individual track, the apps sends a message to the site. this is great on my iphone (old one, at least), and on my computer. it gets tricky with an iPod classic, because you need it to guess what you've listened to.
i just found out that nothing has been scrobbled for the last 10 or so days from my iPod. apparently, the new version of iTunes didn't work with the old scrobbler, but i was never notified or anything. so all is lost.
and frankly, i'm infuriated.
so i downloaded a new scrobbler. but all that data will never come back... :(

i feel you. i get frustrated with it too at times. sometimes i'll look at my weekly chart.. and it'll say i played 1 track from a certain band when i know for a fact i listened to more. and i always make sure to scrobble my ipod before i play anything on my computer. ugh. so i don't really trust the information on it. sucks. i don't know what is going on.
