so lately i've decided to try to bring a few different phrases back. in fact, i was thinking about posting a top five phrases i either miss using or wish were more present in my life. for the last while, i've been using the word 'wack' as in "man, that's totally wack" or "wow, man, that's pretty wacked out," etc. in fact, i probably started using this back when i saw the light and realized that i want to name my first kid wackmo hompson. anyway, so the other day i was taking my midterm and i had a question or two throughout the test (yeah, it's true. hard to believe, i know, but it's true), so i went to ask my professor, stefan. a few times, when explaining my work to him, i said something down the lines of "and then i did this and that and i got this. now that's pretty wack, right?" and you know how sometimes you start using a word too much and realize just once that in about five minutes you've probably said it at least ten times? well, i realized that when i was talking to stefan. so i decided to cool off on the wack-ness, since using it too often is pretty wacked out. and then today in class, stefan was lecturing on the conditional convergence of some rearrangement of a convergent series, and when he used a neato example, he followed by saying, "pretty wack, huh?" it was great. so today, or whatever day you read this, i suggest you all start using a nifty word that you haven't used in a while. this includes, but is not limited to, wack, neato, gnarly, ultra, far out, wackedified, right on, rock on, rock, grooovy, bogus, and so on. (and if you've got suggestions, leave them as comments!) and so, my friends, happy friday, and i'll catch you on the flip side!
