fabric softener
i love fabric softener.
i love the way it makes me smell.
i love the way it makes my clothes softened.
for the last week or so, i've really been thinking a lot about how great it is to be at home. Benji! wrote a blog recently on tsp about how great it is to be at home. and one thing he apparently missed (no offense, Benji!) was fabric softener. when i stay at hotels and such, and pay them a ton (well, the company) to do my laundry because i'm too cheap to buy an iron and want them to get the wrinkles out, i never think about their detergent.
and for the last 10 months (!!), i've been living sans-fabric softener. crazy!
until daisy and i went to the store yesterday and picked some up. and now i can't get enough! i'm washing my whole house! sheets, towels, washcloths, shirts, pants, underwear, socks, pillow cases. the whole shabang! and man, do i smell GOOD!
so, the moral of the story is this. i try real hard to be an eco-friendly hippy, but fabric softener makes it real difficult, because i just want to wash everything all the time. don't want to iron? no problem! use fabric softener. ran out of deodorant? no problem! use fabric softener. have a headache and serious digestive problems because of some parasite you Paul and klcomp picked up last week? no problem! use more fabric softener!
