second block break, 2006

so i finally made it through partial differential equations. block two has come to an end. and oh man, does it feel good. yesterday the weather was perfect so i went to palmer with stefan and chatted and such. on the way back, we saw kate at that nice little coffee shop that katelin and i run by nearly every day. got sushi with stefan and had some great B52s while listening to chris thile. great evening. and it gets better. after i left stefan's, i came home and played my guitar for a bit and then the rest of the crew came home. we chatted for a bit, and it didn't take long to bust out the dance mix and start groovin to some mj, toto, earth wind & fire, and other assorted boogie woogie songs. it was a blast. and then it all came to an end this morning when i woke up, feeling a little groggy and confused, to about 7 inches of snow on the ground. half the power's out (so i had to poop in the dark. now that is a challenge.), and i'm not entirely sure our heat is working. anyway, we just watched the graduate and now i'm playing on my computer (and i just saw that THREE of my photos are on flickr's top 500 most interesting photos!). all in all, it feels great to not have any differential equations to worry about. for those of you CC-ites, how was the end of your block? happy finals? any big plans for block break? please, do tell

Half of our power is out too! And our breaker box is trapped behind the fridge. I am looking forward to tomorrow being nicer, I feel so trapped inside today!

I'm with you, Peter. Using the toilet in the dark is about the least fun thing ever. I mean, still more fun than the PDEs final, but that's a pretty low standard.
