the uk
so as most of you know, i'll be going to the UK in two weeks to see my bro, Will. it's gonna be awesome.
i'm getting really excited. we're going to spend two nights and a day in london, then about the same in edinburgh, then two days in st andrews, then a day in the country side on the east coast of sunny scotland.
while Will makes all the real arrangements (hotels, my temporary iPhone SIM card, train tickets, etc), i've been busy preparing. my list of preparations include the following:
- drink lots of high quality scotch to improve my pallet so i don't look like an idiot in front of scots
- listen to lots of the kinks so i really understand when i get to see a waterloo sunset
- watch trainspotting repeatedly until i'm fluent in in-comprehensive scottish
- buy a gray (grey?) turtleneck for when i go to the scottish coast
- prepare my iPhone by setting bookmarks for every stop along the way
also, if any of you have any recommendations, please let me know. any advice would be appreciated!
comments:
Waterloo sunset has something to do with Scotland? Also, iPhone's don't work in most of Scotland, sorry. Hope you'll still visit!
