yup. i've finally got it all figured out.
so the other day i watched the station agent, a movie i've seen several times before, but seem to love more every time i see it. anyway, i've decided two things since watching this movie:
- i need to get a pocket watch. but first, i need to decide where to put what in my pockets, since i keep my keys in my right pocket and don't want to scratch my pocket watch. maybe i'll just start wearing three piece suits all the time so i can have a place to put my pocket watch. pocket watches don't cost too much, right?
- i really do want to work for the railroad. any railroad. preferably, a line that's as good as the german rail road. but realistically, something like amtrak. i just want to be able to hang out the side and say all aboard, wearing a three piece suit with a sweet watch and a really cool palm pilot that can tell me any train schedule (germans all have those). more than anything, though, who wouldn't want to be on a train all the time? they're really really incredible.

Then why don't you just go work for the rail road? Make your dreams come true!

I wanted to be a "Choo Choo Train Driver" since I was really little. So you'd technically be my hero if you worked on the railroad. Also, you can develop a whole new understanding of the song "Off the Rails" by the Notwist and "I've been working on the railroad". Just think about it!

Pocket watches aren't difficult to find or incredibly expensive, if you get one with a battery. My Dad has wanted a winding pocket watch for ages and we've pretty much given up looking.

unfortunately, i'm really only interested in a wind up one. if i find one, i'll be sure to let you know, pops
