the need for speeeeed
so i just had the best thursday ever. i went on a long hike this morning, and rushed home to get to work, only to check my voicemail and hear that i was called off. what to do, i thought.
liza came over and we decided, after a raspberry cream soda or two, to go go-karting. best idea ever, liza. so we went to mr. biggs family fun center, where we went go-karting for $4 each ride. it lasted about 5 minutes, but man was it worth it. we decided to bet a cool $100 on a best out of three tournament. we did odds or evens to see who would go first in line-up, alternating each race (to make it fair). however, we only bought enough tickets for each of us to race twice. so i knew i had to win each time to save the money.
and sure enough... well... let's just say i pulled into the pit first each time. booyah. i drew and illustration of what it was like. i am represented by the stud in car #11, and liza is a little confused in car #2. i'm the one crossing the finish line first (image not to scale.):
note: liza actually won both times, but the super-cool 17 year old that had to run the operation turned off her car in order to let me pass before pulling into the pit. nice.

It's a very accurate representation because I was extremely confused as to why my car had been stopped. You owe me some big money...or should we double it and say best out of five?
