adventures

so i've been trying to figure out my plans for the near future lately. it's been a little stressful, since i'm planning on bumming on a lot of couches, but exciting at the same time. i'm getting kind of antsy, as everyone has been leaving, so i'm half regretting working this late into june (i'll be done on the 9th). i'm glad, though, that i've got a lot in my way, as it'll make this whole goodbye thing much easier. it's strange to think that i'll be leaving my home of the last four years forever.

anyway, it looks like it'll be like this:

• i'll be in colo spgs until the 14th or so, living it up and spending time with the crew. i'm also gonna go fishing with jeremy, hike pike's peak, go white water rafting, and hopefully eat at adam's one more time.
• after colorado springs, i'm gonna drive home to chicago and chill with the fam for a while. i'll finally be able to see the performance crew again and hang out with them. and more than anything, i'm just gonna take it easy (and hopefully not spend money).
• on july 1st, i'm heading out by way of california zephyr to san francisco. with any hope, lizerbeam will be able to make her way out there while i'm there, but her schedule looks pretty tight for this summer. i'll be doing a lot of couch bumming with my sister nellie, as well as sierra & nick, sarah & i'm gonna take a little road trip down california one to see saulamander.
• i'm gonna drive nell's car home from san fran, taking my time, so i can be home in time for klcomp's birthday. she turns 37 this year! i'll hang out for a bit and get ready for the next leg of the trip:
• on the 27th or so of july, i'm heading out to new york. there are lots of people i want to see, especially gwynnie, and i'd like to spend some time in the city. after a few days, i'll be heading out to:
• bangkok! stefan and i are gonna travel around vietnam, thailand, cambodia, laos, and anything else in between. we were planning a europe trip for a while, but it's way too expensive to get there and to be there. and what's even better is that maggie & nell may be there too! though scheduling is difficult, there's a chance they'll be there and then the four of us will be able to hang out. i can't wait.
• after my return from southeast asia, i'll be hanging out back in chicago for a bit before going to houston (on sept. 10) to start training for my job in china. i'm not sure how long i'll be there, but i figure it'll be about two or three weeks [modified: i'll be there til roughly january. that's a looong time to be in houston]. on my way down, i hope to visit lizerbeam and nick. yay!

if any of you are on the way or in any of those places, let me know. i'd love to see all of you. i'm sure, too, that most of you have already heard my plans. sorry that you need to hear it again. i'm so excited!
