1. |
Weezer |
|
pinkerton and blue. amazing. but anything else, i can't believe it's the same band |
2. |
Van Morrison |
|
again, first two albums are two of the most amazing albums i can think of. astral weeks may make my top ten albums list. but then, and you can blame it on the cocaine, something terrible happened and he did little good after that. |
3. |
Metallica |
|
up until black, this band knew what was up. from their instrumental genius from "...and justice for all" to the incredible ballads like "nothing else matters" to their metallic "battery", this band really knew how to do what they did. but then hetfield started taking voice lessons and the band became mush. though a few of their later albums were decent, several of them were unbelievably terrible |
4. |
Pink Floyd |
|
my four spot on my top five bands, pink floyd still blows my mind. but how could they possibly sign their name on albums like "the division bell"? |
5. |
Bob Dylan |
|
easily making my number two on top five solo artists, dylan continues to blow me away with "freewheelin'", "the times they are a-changin'", "blonde on blonde" and "highway 61", yet released albums that would embarrass me even if i were a genius such as dylan. what happened, man? |
note. this list is the top five bands that went from being amazing to being terrible. that means that this list includes bands that would potentially make a top five list in their prime and make a top five worst list in their downfall. this does not necessarily imply chronology, though it makes it more obivous in several of the bands (weezer, van morrison, metallica)
